Data We Collect
yefi collects personal data required for account creation and regulatory compliance: full name, email address, date of birth, government-issued ID, and proof of address. This is required by AML law in all jurisdictions where yefi operates.
We also collect transactional data — trade history, deposit and withdrawal records, and IP addresses associated with logins. This data is used for fraud detection, tax reporting support, and account security.
How We Use Your Data
Your personal data is used to verify your identity, process transactions, comply with legal obligations, and improve platform features. yefi does not sell your personal data to third parties under any circumstances.
Cookies
yefi uses session cookies for authentication and preference cookies to remember your chart settings and interface layout. Analytics cookies are optional — you can opt out from your account settings at any time.
Third-party scripts (analytics, support chat) may set their own cookies. These are disclosed in our cookie consent notice. Blocking them does not affect core trading functionality.
Data Sharing
yefi shares your data only with: licensed identity verification providers, banking and payment partners required to process fiat transactions, and regulatory authorities when required by law. No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.
Data Security
All stored personal data is encrypted using AES-256. Databases are access-controlled, with role-based permissions and full audit logs. Internal access to user data requires multi-party authorization.
yefi conducts third-party security audits quarterly. In the event of a data breach affecting your account, you will be notified within 72 hours, consistent with applicable data protection regulations.
Your Rights

Third-Party Links
The yefi platform may contain links to external resources or partner sites. yefi has no control over their privacy practices and is not responsible for their data handling. Review their policies before submitting any information.
Data Retention
Transaction records and identity documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years following account closure, as required by financial regulations. Non-essential data such as support chat logs is deleted after 12 months.
Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy was last updated on January 1, 2026. Material changes will be communicated by email and platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always published in the legal section of yefi.
